  We unexpectedly ended up in Yeronga, plucked from our rainforest existence in the Northern Rivers, when one of our seven children was diagnosed with leukaemia. With all the stress and change of diet going on, two of our other kids had toothaches, and all our teeth started showing the signs. We found Ria Dental when our eldest son had a severe toothache, and from the moment I talked to the effervescent and delightfully friendly Rachel, I knew we'd found a welcoming and professional place to fix our teeth. Due to me being in hospital for a lengthy period, my husband took main charge of taking a few of our children in at a time, and all the reports that came back were glowing. Only two of our brood had dental work previously, and they both commented about how pain free their experience was compared to the past. One of our children even said that he enjoyed having them play with his mouth so much, he wanted to make extra appointments! And I was most impressed with how they texted us a day before appointments to remind us, and also rang afterwards to check how they were. I've had a long life of dental excursions, and never before come across such caring service. When I finally made it in to meet the staff at Ria Family Dental, I was very touched that Dr. Darshan Hosur made a special effort to come out and meet me, and ask me about Merlin, our son who has leukaemia. He was genuinely concerned and empathetic about our son whom he'd never met. (Merlin had his teeth done as part of his treatment). I was so touched in fact, that I said I could bring Merlin in to meet them when I came to pick up the rest of them, a suggestion which was warmly welcomed. When we came in again - Merlin happy to come along and meet the folk who'd asked about him - we happened upon them in a moment when they had a break before a meeting, and we got to meet Pavi and Rachel properly as well. We were talking about how things were going, when some pizza's turned up, that they'd ordered earlier for their break. We were going to leave to be polite, but they insisted we stay and share their feast, treating us as treasured guests. Lively conversations on roving topics where had, while our three sons coloured in, and all in all I don't think there could be a more apt name for this Dentist as Ria Family Dental. Both the family atmosphere between Darshan and Pavi and their obviously esteemed staff member Rachel, and the welcome we felt as a family, were like a warm hug. I'm so relieved that our family can get such effective and comforting assistance in achieving healthy mouths. Thank you so much for rescuing our teeth!! And I highly recommend you all as a fine and rare Dentist experience :)
